THE BEGINNING
Bensax International™, whose birth name is Richardson Estimable, is an internationally recognized saxophonist, performer, composer, arranger, songwriter, educator, and multi-talented musician. Widely known for his excellence in Latin American Christian Jazz and inspirational instrumental music, he has become one of Haiti’s most celebrated saxophonists, earning admiration across the Caribbean, Central America, and North America through his powerful musical artistry and spiritually uplifting performances.
Born in Haiti, Bensax International™ discovered his passion for music at an early age. Recognizing his exceptional talent and dedication, his parents enrolled him in formal musical training at the age of twelve. From 1998 to 2006, he studied at the Evangelical Orchestra Mitspa Brass Band in Saint-Louis-du-Nord, Haiti, where he specialized in saxophone performance. However, his musical abilities extended far beyond a single instrument. Over the years, he mastered multiple instruments, including the trumpet, piano, bass guitar, drums, trombone, French horn, tuba, and others.
At just fourteen years old, Bensax International™ was recognized as one of the most talented trumpet players in the history of the Evangelical Orchestra. His passion for excellence and leadership led him to continue his studies at the Musical Conservatory of the Christian University of North Haiti. From 2002 to 2006, he served as a full-time orchestra leader for the Lully Le Florentin Orchestra Brass Band in Saint-Louis-du-Nord, Haiti, where he trained, mentored, and inspired more than fifty young musicians.
In 2008, Bensax International™ relocated to the Bahamas, where he served faithfully as a worship music minister, trainer, and music director. His ministry and musical calling continued to grow internationally, leading him to establish BIM (Bensax International Ministries) in Haiti in 2011. Through this ministry, he dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music, using his gift as a tool to bring healing, encouragement, hope, and spiritual transformation to audiences around the world.
Throughout his remarkable career, Bensax International™ has performed on prestigious stages and in numerous international events. His powerful presence and musical excellence have earned him strong recognition on radio, television, and live concert platforms. In June 2012, he released his first acclaimed saxophone album, Let the Sax Worship the King, which was voted the Best Instrumental Album of the Year in Haiti within its genre. He later released another successful saxophone album in May 2017, further solidifying his reputation as a gifted instrumental artist.
In 2013, Bensax International™ received multiple prestigious honors at the Annual International Convention of the Country Gospel Music Association in Branson, Missouri. There, he was recognized as Instrumentalist of the Year and received both the Golden Heart Award and the Silver Award for his outstanding musical contributions and inspirational impact. His international journey continued with notable performances at the International Federation of Youth Conquerors in West Palm Beach, Florida, and at the prestigious Miss Universe Haiti competition in 2017. In 2018, Bensax International™ gained worldwide attention when he represented Haiti on NBC’s America’s Got Talent Season 13 in Hollywood, California. His inspiring saxophone performance captivated audiences globally and introduced millions of viewers to his extraordinary talent and heartfelt musical expression. Beyond performance and ministry, Bensax International™ is deeply committed to education, mentorship, and artistic development. Together with his wife, Dr. Sheelah Franck Estimable, he founded Bensax Music Academy, an institution dedicated to training, equipping, and inspiring the next generation of musicians and artists. The academy focuses not only on musical excellence, but also on leadership, discipline, creativity, and purpose in the performing arts.
In addition, the couple established the Bensax Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to support and empower aspiring artists from all backgrounds. Through scholarships, mentorship, sponsorship opportunities, and artistic development programs, the foundation encourages excellence in music, dance, painting, sound engineering, poetry, theater, and other creative disciplines.

Known by many as “The Healing Horn,” he believes music possesses the power to heal hearts, unite people, inspire hope, and transform lives. His mission is to use music as a universal language capable of bringing peace, encouragement, and emotional restoration to individuals and communities around the world.
